THE WEIGHT
OF WATER

Med soloudstillingen The Weight of Water præsenterer Paul Ø.

With the solo exhibition The Weight of Water, Paul Ø. McNulty presents a further development of his most recent series. The exhibition explores the relationship between human presence and the unseen ecosystems beneath the ocean’s surface, with a particular focus on the tension between an idealized understanding of nature and today’s environmental realities. Inspired by the hidden structures and organisms of the seabed, the artist works with mud-dyed textiles and discarded clothes as his medium. The materials function as a physical commentary on humanity’s resource consumption and environmental impact. The exhibition centers on nature’s cyclical movements and leaves viewers with open questions about responsibility, repetition, and—hopefully—change.
