Divide

& Collide

Mother Earth, the life cycle is forever in a loop, ever-changing. The continuous jump on the spinning wheel is never-ending. We are constantly in a race with ourselves. With only oblivion in sight. Our partnership emerged into a friendship, a new idea for common ground. Documenting as we drive by, walk past, off-hand, over time. No timeline, no deadline. Inevitably it evolved over time. Conversing, understanding, exchanging views; new views.

The world of matter, the people of matter. Defying unconquered matter. Our practices collided in a positive manner. Mashed together, almost in a too-naive manner. Our manners and egos are all divided, split down the middle. The absolute utopian collaboration. Dissecting the World's resources has left us all, starved for experiences, feeding on the less fortunate. Engulfing their reality to escape our own. Where the appetite for the brave world will be our demise.

WHITE NOISE

All noise

Harmonious monotone euphony
The repeated loop is lengthy

Industry destroys
The mechanical joys
In the midst of the big boys

GARDEN OF MONO

The soil of thought
In contours it sought

Jungle of green monochrome
Stay-at-home
Half-light, an empty sight

Intaking not so much contemplating
Inflating
The breeze of despair

PETROLEUM ABYSS

It gurgles in silence, seeps through the seams

A graveyard of Oceans

The future has dark veins
and the future looks back with a face
we can’t put into place

“The collaborative duo explores how centuries of overconsumption has likely compromised the future of our existence on this planet. Through their respective crafts, the two artists work together in a multi-sensory experience involving film, photograph, and textile artworks” - Lasse, Galleri Sod.
